"VIPER"- LARGE SIZE FLAT COMB THEEKAR ASEEL.
For the past 20 years, our primary focus has been on Rampuri Reza Aseels. During this long journey, we have clearly witnessed a concerning change — India’s pride, the large-size Aseels with true character, are slowly becoming rare and extremely difficult to find. Size alone is not the issue; finding large birds with correct temperament, balance, and classic Aseel character has become the real challenge.
Because of this, we made a conscious decision to focus strongly on large-size Aseel breeding and to increase their numbers without compromising quality. Our aim has always been to work only with extreme-quality birds, even if they are difficult to source. In this journey, we were fortunate to receive help from our old fancier friends who share the same vision and understanding of true Aseel standards.
This particular bird was sourced from the Nellore region with the help of our friend Mr. Pruthviraj Patil and his mentor Mr. Vikas from Pune. Acquiring this bird was not easy. He was purchased at a very high price, and even paying such an amount does not guarantee access to birds of this level. Such gems are rarely available, regardless of money.
What makes this bird exceptional is that despite his massive structure, he carries all the essential Aseel characteristics perfectly. Finding a bird of this size with correct balance, movement, muscle distribution, and mental strength is extremely rare. Because of this, we have decided to work him carefully with some of our classic hens. It is important to understand that finding a good bird is difficult, but breeding from him successfully is even more challenging. True breeding requires patience, discipline, and years of effort.
This bird is a flat-comb Aseel, a feature that offers a significant advantage in game purpose, as it becomes very difficult for an opponent to get grip on the head or face. In the past, we have kept only a few flat-comb birds, but every one of them was of the highest quality. This bird will now become our pioneer breeder in the flat-comb category for large-size Aseels.
Standing at 18.5 inches up to the button and weighing over 6 kg, he is exceptionally tall and powerful. Despite his size, he carries dense muscle mass with excellent mobility and balance, which is rarely seen in birds of this scale.
In the coming year, we will closely observe his offspring to ensure that the legacy of great large South Indian Aseels continues through the next generation
